Peel Away 1 Paint Removal System is designed for the complete removal of many years of paint layers in one application.
The system comprises a ready mixed paste that is spread over the painted surface. A unique Peel Away Blanket is then laid over the paste. The specially designed Peel Away blanket delays the drying process, subsequently extends the active time and allows the Peel Away paste to reach into the most intricate corners. Once Peel Away has effectively worked through all of the required layers, the cover can then be removed with the help of a spatula and the surface washed down with the neutraliser supplied in the kit.
Up to 32 coats of paint have been stripped in one application. The Peel Away System is particularly suitable for use on surfaces involving detailed carvings or mouldings, such as ornate plasterwork, exterior brickwork, carved or turned woodwork and intricate iron work.
The Peel Away System is the only reliable method of removing multi-layers of paint from such surfaces without damaging the surface profile.
Use Peel Away 1 where there are multiple layers of oil, water-based household paints or marine paints on Softwood, Brickwork, Concrete, Plaster, Fibreglass and Cast iron or other Metals.
Both 5kg and 15kg Peel Away packs contain Instructions, Application Tool and sufficient Peel Away Blankets and Neutraliser.
Coverage: The amount of Peel Away needed for a project depends on type and thickness of paint. As a rule of thumb, 1kg of Peel Away covers 1.0SqMtr at 1-2mm thickness. Generally a thickness of 2-3mm will be required, therefore 15kg = 10-15SqMtr
Please note: You should use Peel Away 7 on Hardwoods, Stone, Marble and Aluminium substrates to minimise the risk of damage and discolouration.
