Highly translucent, solvent-borne, exterior woodstain

Sikkens Cetol HLS can be used alone as a system on cladding, garden furniture and decking, and as a single application base stain before applying Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 or Sikkens Cetol THB on windows and doors. 

ikkens Cetol HLS plus is a solvent-borne wood stain providing a low film build (as defined in BS EN 927-1: 1997). 

Sikkens Cetol HLS plus is a base stain to Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 plus or Sikkens Cetol THB plus, but can also be used as a finish on rough sawn timber components subjected to high levels of wear, such as garden furniture and hand rails. Due to its high pigment content it can give colour to softwoods and equalise hardwoods of variable colour. 

Available in 1, 2.5, 5 and 20 litre pack sizes, in a range of 12 translucent colours. All colours can be intermixed in any proportion.

The coverage rate for this product is 6 to 18 m²/litre.

 RECOMMENDED TREATMENT SCHEDULE

New/bare cladding (including eaves, rough sawn timber, fencing, decking etc): 3 coats
Previously stained cladding: 1 to 2 coats
Subsequent cladding maintenance: 1 to 2 coats

As a basestain under Cetol Filter 7 or Cetol THB: 1 coat
Spreading rates* (m²/litre): 6-18m²/L

Touch dry: 3 to 5 hours, Recoat time: 24 hours
