X-Tex is an effective water-based textured coatings remover. It softens textured coatings allowing them to be scraped off easily. Suitable for removing both bonded and non-bonded textured coatings effects including Artex and all paints and wallpapers.
Apply a good liberal coat all over the required area making sure to cover over painted surfaces such as door architraves dado rails etc. An exellent way of obtaining an even application is to leave it to settle for ten minutes then gently brush over the surface again to even out the thickness.
Use either a large scraper or warm water with a stainless steel scouring ball and scrub all the waste from the surface. On plasterboard substrates use a new scraper and care must be taken not to cut into the plasterboard. On external surfaces wash off with stiff plastic brush and warm soapy water or a pressure washer. Depending on how consistent the original coating of X-TEX will affect the final stripping results. Uneven application can result in uneven removal.
For multi-layered paint over textured coating or very thick textured coatings more than one application may be required. Always Test and time a small area first

Wet working system - keeps wet and working for up to 24 hours. Re-wet if the product dries out. When working on plasterboard / sheetrock, timing has to be watched, to ensure the plasterboard / sheetrock substrate is not softened.
Coverage: 2.5 Litres will remove approximately 5-7 square meters, depending on the thickness of the coatings being removed. Available in 2.5 litre and 15 litre sizes.
